Can I change the way I perceive problems?

We have a negative outlook on problems and adversities. Challenges tire us and cause disruption in our lives and affect our being often to our detriment. Yet, problems are an indicator of something that needs to change. It reveals unhealthy patterns in our lives where growth and change is necessary to continue our journey of self-empowerment and enlightenment. Our lives cannot stagnate and continue rhythms that is unhealthy. Problems indicate that we need to adjust our thinki

    Choose Wisely

Our choices determine the course of a moment, a day or a life. Our choices also reflect what we value, what we hope for, and our relationship with ourselves. What choices will you exercise this week? What choices can you commit to, which will contribute to the highest good for yourself, for those you hold dear to your heart and the community? #choices #attitude #positivepsychology #responsibility #growth #growthmindset #recovery #restore #bestme #mentalhealth #unhealthy #copi

    Sustainable relationships

Relationships need to be nurtured. Whether it is a romantic relationship, a parent-child relationship, or one of friendship. All relationships depend on mutual respect, trust, emotional support, compassion and having each other’s well-being at highest stake. We are co-responsible for our relationships and it’s health. Should a relationship take more from us than what is good for our mental health it is time to seriously consider the validity of that relationship in your life.

    LIVING WITH TOO MUCH ANGER?

Underlying intense anger there usually resides a deep hurt and sadness. If not addressed, anger can run your life in debilitating ways affecting your relationships, your mental health, and doing life well. It increases the risk to resort to unhealthy coping mechanisms that only aggravate a vicious cycle. Healing, self-empowerment and growth is always possible. #anger #angermanagement #positivepsychology #choices #growth #growthmindset #healing #bestme #counselling #recovery #

    What is failure?

    What is failure?

We need to rethink the popular view on failure. I see too many people suffering, because of unnecessary pressure, anxiety and stress, due to the fear of failure. We would only fail if we never tried. But trying, and not achieving a perceived outcome, does NOT necessary imply failure. We need to be kinder toward ourselves and more tolerant. We need to be bold and courageous in living our lives, without the constant fear of “so-called” failure. I witness unhealthy coping mecha

Is using white paint a tool you have mastered?

We can choose our attitude, and we can choose to start the process of forgiveness, in every circumstance. If we park with a situation we become the victim. PERFECTIONISM... “Perfectionism is self-abuse of the highest order.” ~Anne Wilson Schaef

Perfectionism can paralyze. Feeling inadequate or not good enough often result from a focus on perfection, instead of a focus on making progress. To live is to make mistakes. Cultivate a growth mindset, have patience and self-compassion, take the lessons. Anxiety and poor mental health will improve significantly if we can give ourselves permission to focus on the effort and what we have learned, instead of how things should be, and must be, to be perfect. “Perfect” is a relat

    Non-essential living

Socrates warned against the #barenness of a #busy #life . We need to learn the art of letting go of what is not important, not essential, and to distinguish between priorities and non-essentials, if we want to do life well. This skill is true for eliminating exhaustion, picking our battles, living authentically, being vulnerable and real, healthy relationships with ourselves and others, and showing up. #recovery #changeyourthinking #counselling #choice #confidence #aut
