Why Journal?

Why Journal?

When we journal and write about experiences and happenings it helps to give us insight into who we are, who we were, and who we can become.

It is also an excellent way to help us to discover, to increase our self-awareness, and to change habits.

You can simply write or make use of bullets.

“Each Bullet Journal becomes another volume in the story of your life. Does it represent the life you want to live? If not, then leverage the lessons you've learned to change the narrative in the next volume.”

~ Ryder Carrol

It helps to have journal prompts about topics you want to explore. You can explore journalling on topics such as hope, faith, gratitude,or happy times, or you can journal about negative feelings, fears, discouragement or feeling overwhelmed. The possibilities are endless.

For this exercise I chose journal prompts on gratitude. For the next week journal about one of the prompts suggested. Be mindfully engaged while you reflect in terms of your five senses, your values which was honoured and embraced, and being thoughtful of how it shaped, and uplifted you.

“Journal writing is a voyage to the interior.”

~Christina Baldwin
